Privacy Policy & Medical Document Handling
Last updated: October 2026 • BioTB Healthcare Network
1. Prescription Data Encryption & PII Masking
When you upload a medical prescription, bill, or hospital discharge summary to BioTB for review authentication, the document is immediately encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Patient government identification numbers (Aadhaar/PAN), home addresses, and phone numbers are permanently masked from public visibility.
2. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Processing
Our multimodal vision algorithms extract only metadata necessary to validate the consultation: the doctor's name, medical council registration number, clinic stamp, visit date, and prescribed drug classes. Once verification confidence reaches the required threshold, raw medical images are protected behind time-limited signed URLs only accessible to authorized clinical audit staff.
3. Zero Data Commercialization
BioTB does not sell patient health records, contact details, or review submissions to pharmaceutical companies, insurance brokers, or advertising networks. Our platform is funded via transparent subscription tiers and premium institutional analytics that never expose individual patient identities.
4. Reviewer Rights & Anonymity
Patients may request permanent deletion of their review and associated verification audit records at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer at privacy@biotb.com.
