Medical emergencies: do not contact BioTB
BioTB is not an emergency service and cannot give medical advice by email. If you or someone near you has chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of a stroke such as a drooping face or sudden weakness, severe bleeding, a seizure or loss of consciousness, call 108 for an ambulance or 112 for the national emergency number, or go to the nearest hospital emergency department immediately.
Our inboxes are not monitored around the clock, and we will not respond to clinical questions about your own symptoms or treatment. Please speak to a qualified doctor. The medical disclaimer explains what BioTB can and cannot help with.
Which team to contact
Clinical editorial team: clinical-editorial@biotb.com
Write to the editorial team about:
- An error or outdated fact on a doctor, hospital, clinic, AYUSH centre or diagnostic lab profile.
- A factual or clinical concern about one of our condition guides.
- Provider requests to claim, update or correct a profile.
- Questions about how a TrustScore™ is calculated or how BioTB Match™ suggested a specialist.
- Disputes about a patient review published on a profile.
Privacy team: privacy@biotb.com
Write to the privacy team about:
- Accessing, correcting or erasing personal data BioTB holds about you.
- Withdrawing consent you have given, for example for a review you submitted.
- Questions about how your data, including any health information, is processed.
- Concerns that your personal data has been misused or exposed.
If you are not sure which team is right, write to either one. We will forward your message internally rather than ask you to start again.
Reporting a correction
Patients and families are often the first to notice that something has changed. If a doctor has moved to a different hospital, an OPD has new timings, a consultation fee has gone up, or a diagnostic lab no longer offers a test, please tell us at clinical-editorial@biotb.com. To help us verify and fix it quickly, include:
- The full link to the BioTB page, or the provider's name and city.
- Exactly what is wrong, quoting the text or figure as it appears on the page.
- What you believe is correct.
- How you know: for example, a visit on a particular date, a hospital notice, a receipt or an appointment message. Screenshots or photographs are welcome; please hide any personal health details that are not needed.
- Whether we may contact you if we need more information.
For example: "The Delhi NCR profile for a cardiologist lists Monday OPD at Saket, but the hospital front desk confirmed on 14 October that Monday OPD has moved to Thursday afternoon." A specific report like this can be checked with the provider and corrected far faster than "timings are wrong".
How we assess reports, how fast we aim to fix them and how corrections are shown on the page are set out in our corrections policy.
Doctors and facilities: claim or update your profile
If you are a doctor, or you represent a hospital, clinic, AYUSH centre or diagnostic lab, you can ask to claim your BioTB profile or to update the facts on it. Write to clinical-editorial@biotb.com from an official email address where possible, and include:
- The link to the profile, or the provider's name, specialty and city if it is not yet listed.
- Your role, and for facilities, your authority to act on its behalf.
- The specific facts to add or change, such as qualifications, consulting locations, OPD timings, fees, departments or accreditations.
- Supporting documents for each change, for example a degree certificate, an accreditation certificate or an official hospital roster.
Every change is verified before it is published, under our verification methodology. Claiming or updating a profile does not change a TrustScore™ directly; scores are recalculated only from the published signals. BioTB operates a zero pay-to-rank policy, so no payment or commercial arrangement can improve a ranking, as our advertising and independence policy explains. Providers who wish to reply to a patient review should follow the response rules in our patient review guidelines.
Privacy and data requests
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access a summary of it, to have it corrected or erased, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email privacy@biotb.com and include:
- Your name and the email address or phone number you used with BioTB.
- What you are asking for: access, correction, erasure, withdrawal of consent or a question.
- Any detail that helps us find the data, such as the profile you reviewed and the approximate date.
We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, so that your data is not disclosed to or deleted by someone else. Please do not send copies of identity documents unless we ask for them. How we handle personal and health data is described in full in our privacy policy.
Complaints
If you want to make a formal complaint, for example about content you believe is unlawful, a profile that impersonates someone, a review dispute that was not resolved to your satisfaction, or how your personal data was handled, please use our grievance redressal process. It explains how to file a grievance, the acknowledgement and resolution timelines we commit to, and how to escalate if you are not satisfied.
What to expect after you write
- We read every message. Messages with the details listed above can usually be acted on without follow-up questions.
- For corrections and profile updates, we verify the change before publishing it and update the review date on the page.
- For formal grievances, we acknowledge within 24 hours and aim to resolve within 15 days, as described on the grievance redressal page.
- We do not answer questions about individual symptoms, diagnoses or treatment. If you need help finding the right kind of specialist, BioTB Match™ can suggest one, and you can browse verified providers in Lucknow and Delhi NCR.
Please do not send passwords, payment card details or complete medical records by email. If we need a document, we will tell you exactly which one and why.
