He is a member of ESMO, ASCO, the India Society of Oncology (ISO), the Breast Cancer Foundation India (BCFI) and the Indian Cooperative Oncology Network (ICON) Group. His awards include the Pawan Kumari Jain Oration award (2003), the Searle Oration at APICON 2010, the Chikitsa Ratan Award and the Precision Oncologist of year 2024 award.
