He is a Sr. Consultant at the Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science and Research in the Qutab Institutional Area, Delhi, and has 40 years of experience.
Pulmonology covers conditions of the lungs and airways. He treats difficult-to-treat asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease (ILD), tuberculosis, sleep apnoea and sleep disorders, respiratory failure, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism and sepsis. He was formerly Head of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, and is a past President of the Association of Chest Physicians of India.
